On September 24th, a meeting was called for the purpose of forming a Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago. There were 12 people present at the meeting, including the Founding Pastor William Jenkins Sr., and it was decided on that day that the church would be named Lively Stone.
We moved to our current location at 4938 W. Chicago Ave. Chicago, IL and established various choir's for the congregation to join in 1979.
Pastor William Jenkins Sr. delivered a special message to Lively Stone to celebrate the church's 43rd anniversary.
By the grace of God, Lively Stone honored our 50th anniversary IN 2016! Throughout the year, we hosted a variety of events, including a Gala and celebratory Sunday service.
To assist during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lively Stone hosted a free mask giveaway for the Chicago community in May.
The Bible speaks on the love and abundance that cheerful givers receive, and we are honored to be a beneficiary of your generosity and a vessel for your blessings. Your offerings are greatly appreciated.
